Baseball Downed by Fordham, 12-3

BRONX, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team fell to Fordham 12-3 on the road Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Pioneers dropped to 3-11, while Fordham improved to 10-6.

Justin Jordan got the start and took the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits and striking out one in two innings of work. Isiah Daubon went 2-for-4 with two RBI's, while Austin Markmann drove in a run as well.

  • Elijah Brown, Justin Jordan and Jake Frasca recorded a hit apiece in the loss

  • SHU struck first after Daubon delivered a two-out RBI single to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead in the first inning

  • The Rams responded by scoring seven runs in the first five innings

  • The Pioneers tallied two runs in the sixth, but it was not enough as Fordham came away with the 12-3 victory
