Isiah Daubon Drives in Three in Baseball's 6-5 Loss at Fairleigh Dickinson

TEANECK, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson on the road, 6-5 Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Pioneers drop to 6-17 and 2-2 in the NEC, while Fairleigh Dickinson improves to 4-17-1 on the season and 2-2 in NEC-play.

Cooper Thompson got the start and took the no-decision after surrendering three runs on seven hits, while striking out four in 5.2 innings of work. Isiah Daubon led the SHU offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI's.

  • With the bases loaded in the sixth, Jordan delivered an RBI single to push the Pioneers' lead to 3-1

  • The Knights tallied two runs in the bottom of the sixth to knot the contest at 3-3

  • FDU added three runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 6-3 lead entering the ninth

  • The Pioneers were able to cut the score to as close as 6-5 after Daubon launched a two-run home run to right center
