Max Tuttle Named to All-ECAC First Team

DANBURY, Conn. – Sacred Heart men's lacrosse senior midfielder Max Tuttle added another notch to an incredible senior campaign and career as he was named to the 2019 All-ECAC First Team. With this latest individual honor, Tuttle completes his career as easily the most-decorated Pioneer in program history.

Named to the All-ECAC First Team alongside some of the top names NCAA Div. I lacrosse has to offer, Tuttle joins Tewaaraton award finalists Grant Amant (Penn State) and Pat Spencer (Loyola) on the All-ECAC list as well as Chase Scanlan (Loyola) and Sam Handley (Penn) who occupy to other two midfield spots on the First Team.

A robust two weeks of award announcements for Tuttle, his 2019 campaign includes USILA Third Team All-America honors as well as Inside Lacrosse Media Second Team All-America, All-New England First Team, All-NEC First Team and NEC All-Tournament Team distinctions. Earlier this week, Tuttle became the first Pioneer ever honored with All-America laurels.

An all-around threat at the midfield position, Tuttle completed his senior season with 58 points on 39 goals and a career-best 19 assists to go along with a career-high 54 ground balls. A potent isolation scorer, Tuttle led the team with 154 shots (91 on-goal) and four man-up goals.

Tuttle graduates as a three-time All-NEC selection as well as the 2018 NEC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards. His 134 career goals set a new program record while his 198 career points rank second all-time at SHU.
