PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Sacred Heart University field hockey team opened the 2019 season with a 3-0 road loss at La Salle on Hank DeVincent Field Friday afternoon.
The Pioneers fell to 0-1 to open the season with the loss, while the Explorers open the season at 1-0 with the win. SHU will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 1 when the Pioneers travel to take on Villanova at noon.

(3:59): Lauren Lechleitner sent a pass to Hannah Yanovich in the offensive circle, Yanovich made a move and pushed the ball past the keeper with her backhand to give La Salle a 1-0 lead

(27:03): After the corner pass was knocked around, Yanovich corralled the ball and sent it to Noralie Dumont for the one-timer to put the Explorers up 2-0
