Women's Golf Concludes Play at Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. — The Sacred Heart University women's golf team concluded play at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic, by finishing in 40th of 49 teams on Tuesday afternoon at Kiawah Resort Oak Point and Osprey Point.

Hana Bowman led the way for the Pioneers, finishing tied for 38th out of 254 individuals at the invitational after shooting a 4-over on the day. As a team, SHU finished 78-over par and a 942 total. North Florida and Coastal Carolina finished tied at 1-over par and a 865 total.

Bowman's 38th place finish led the Pioneers, as she shot 4-over par (76) and 6-over par for the tournament (222). Chelsea Sedlar finished 10-over par (226), while Ana Contreras shot 23-over par (239). Maya Isom and Christina Massei rounded out the group by shooting 48-over par (264) and 49-over par (265) respectively.
