Women's Golf Moves into Second on Day Two of NEC Championships

DAYTONA BEACH, FL–– The Sacred Heart women's golf team finished second out of five teams at Day two of the NEC Women's Championship tournament. The team shot 321 in round one and 311 in round two to finish with a team score of 632. The Pioneers had three competitors finish in the top-10.

Senior Chelsea Sedlar finished second out of 30 competitors. The Pioneer shot 7-over par for a total score of 151. In round one Sedlar shot 77, and in round two shot even better with a 74.

Hana Bowman also finished in the top ten, as she was tied for 7th. Bowman shot 11-over par, with a 78 in round one and a 77 in round two.

Ana Contreras rounded out the top ten for the Pioneers. Contreras tied for 9th shooting +12 for a total score of 156.

Lauren Pelster and Christina Massei finished 22nd and tied for 26th respectively. Pelster shot +26 while Massei shot +32.

The Pioneers wrap up the NEC Championship on Sunday, April 14th.
