    The NWHL (National Women's Hockey League) local team the Connecticut Whale has signed Sacred Heart University Women's Ice Hockey forward Haley Payne to join the team for the 2019-20 season.

    The Sacred Heart University Women’s Ice Hockey team dropped the series finale to Mercyhurst this afternoon by a final score of 9-0. The Pioneers will return to action on Friday, Oct. 18 when the Pioneers begin NEWHA play at Saint Anselm. Puck-drop is set for 7:00 p.m.

    The Sacred Heart University Women’s Ice Hockey team was selected to place second in the New England Women’s Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) 2019 Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the alliance this afternoon. Defending NEWHA Champion Saint Anselm was selected as the preseason favorite this season.
  • Bryant and Bishop Named Co-Captains While Women's Ice Hockey Releases 2019-20 Schedule

    Sacred Heart University Women’s Ice Hockey head coach Thomas O’Malley released the team’s 2019-20 schedule this afternoon. The 31 game regular season slate features 21 NEWHA conference matchups leaving 10 non-conference games for the Pioneers this season. The NEWHA has just added LIU Brooklyn to the conference this year which increases the number of NEWHA members to six for the upcoming season.
